The Mad March Hare Miniature Bronze Sculpture

Hot cast bronze is the traditional lost wax process, where molten bronze is poured into a ceramic mould before being refined, patinated and polished by hand. Made entirely from bronze, it has a rich finish, reassuring weight and the strength to last for generations indoors or outdoors.

Cold cast bronze, also known as bronze resin, is made from bronze powder blended with resin. It can resemble bronze beautifully, but it is lighter and less durable, so it should be handled with the same care as ceramic and protected from extreme conditions.

For a lasting heirloom sculpture, hot cast bronze is the premium choice. Cold cast offers a more accessible option for selected works. Please note that hot cast sculptures are approximately 3% smaller than their cold cast counterparts.

Installation and correct placement are important factors when choosing a location for your sculpture.

In particular, it is important to keep your sculpture away from large trees that might drop branches!

Robert James Workshop Ltd offers a ten year warranty on Hot Cast Bronze sculptures and one year warranty on Cold Cast Bronze Resin sculptures. This warranty applies to defects in the manufacturing process only and not as a result of misuse or accidental damage.

Water Features are also subject to a one year guarantee and in addition, we offer a maintenance service for the working parts. Please contact James for a quotation.
