Robert James Workshop On The Road

"If you don’t know where you are going,

any road can take you there."

Lewis Carroll

With the sun beating down on this treasured isle, Robert and I have been out on our travels these past few weeks, showcasing some of our favourite bronze sculptures to the great British public.

It’s always a pleasure to meet new faces out in the wild—and to reconvene with old acquaintances; even better when we’re able to introduce them to our most beloved literary creations. From Beatrix Potter to Lewis Carroll; the world of classic storytelling brought to life!

So, a heartfelt thanks extended, then, to all those who came out to see us at either the Harrogate Flower Show or the Badminton Horse Trials in April and May—and to any dedicated souls who managed both!

There’s something magical about meeting the sculptures in real life, set against the natural backdrop of an ambrosial spring afternoon. While the birds chirp happily in the treetops, every bronze button, whisker and pocket watch glisten in the warm glow of the season.

And now friends, onward, to Chelsea!
