The sculpture stands 44 cm high and 20 cm wide. Created as a private commission, it will only be available as a hot cast bronze due to its delicate elements, which would be too fragile in cold cast.

This newest piece from Robert celebrates the remarkable beauty of the curlew, a bird deeply woven into literary tradition. Its plaintive, sorrowful call has long inspired poets and writers, symbolising themes of melancholy, nature’s fragility, and the passage of time. As Bob puts it, “The sculpture aims to capture not just the physical elegance of the bird, but also its evocative presence in art and storytelling.”

The patina will be naturalistic, with warm browns and soft greys to reflect the curlew’s subtle, earthy plumage.

Available in hot cast bronze only.

This ensures that that our sculptures will last the many years that they are designed for and to that end, we hope you will agree that it's worth the wait!

That said, we always endeavour to deliver your order in the shortest timeframe possible.

Installation

Installation and correct placement are important factors when choosing a location for your sculpture.

In particular, it is important to keep your sculpture away from large trees that might drop branches!
