where to find our sculptures

From Forde Abbey to RHS Chelsea Flower Show

As popular as our bronze literary sculptures are with photographers – both professional and budding amateurs, and particularly at RHS Chelsea Flower Show – there is simply no denying that they are best met in person!

Indeed, a garden sculpture has a way of transforming perspective as you move around it; a water feature comes to life when you hear the gentle trickle of water over bronze. See the light catch surfaces; notice how it sits among leaves and cold stone.

If you are thinking about an in-person meeting with our bronze sculptures in the UK this year, there are three main ways to do just that: RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the seasonal display at Forde Abbey, and appointment-only visits to our gallery in the West Country.

RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May

RHS Chelsea Flower Show is where our collection meets a worldwide audience, and a wonderful place to see a broad range of work in one setting.

The important details to remember: RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 runs from Tuesday 19th May to Saturday 23rd May at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in West London. Tuesday and Wednesday are RHS Members’ Days, with public days from Thursday onwards.

Tickets for 2026 are already on sale, and we’d advise booking early if you have a particular day in mind. If you plan to travel, choosing your date sooner also helps with trains, hotels, and the small practicalities, which, when arranged in good time, make a London trip much easier.

This year, we will be exhibiting on a much larger stand than usual – up to twice the size – giving us much more scope to create our literary landscape. If you are considering a commission this year, Chelsea can be an excellent time to have that initial conversation.

Forde Abbey from March onwards

For many visitors, Forde Abbey offers the most natural introduction to our sculptures as the setting couldn't be more appropriate. You'll find bronze set against old stone, clipped hedging, far-reaching lawns, seasonal borders, and you'll start to build a picture of how a character might live in your own garden.

Forde Abbey’s gardens are open daily from the 1st February, and the house reopens for the 2026 season on Sunday 29th March. The spring also sees the return of the Forde Abbey Trail, which was launched to guide visitors through the display with a satisfying sense of discovery. Look out for new arrivals to the Trail this year – including The Knave and the Beatrix Potter favourite, Samuel Whiskers.

The Robert James Workshop Gallery by appointment

If you’re looking to take your time with the collection, the Robert James Workshop Gallery is perhaps your best option. Visits are by appointment only, which keeps the experience unhurried and personal, with space for conversation and a closer look at the work that other experiences might not always afford.

The gallery is just a short drive from Forde Abbey, and within easy reach of the Jurassic Coast, so it combines delightfully with a day out in the area. Many visitors enjoy pairing a garden visit with a gallery appointment, as it offers both perspectives: the sculptures in their natural landscape, then the collection gathered together in one place.

Find our sculptures in America

Across the Atlantic, our Through the Looking Glass exhibition is on permanent display at the O Museum in Washington, D.C. There is also a collection installed in Virginia at Abernethy and Spencer, where a stunning range of Alice in Wonderland sculptures and water features sit within a glasshouse setting among lush planting and ironwork.

For collectors stateside, we're always on hand to advise on editions, shipping, and placement, with international delivery arranged through trusted partners. If you're looking for a US version of our website, designed specifically for our American audience, you can find that here.
